Installation failed on Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Student and Teacher Edition

I have attempted to install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Student & Teacher edition multiple times on my Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8.2. I have tried both Chrome and Explorer. The error message is: "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." What can I do?
