Problem has beed solved. Thanks to @kglad and the Adobe support:

Adobe support takes more than an hour to fix it. First of all, it was not an Adobe problem. Many of the "Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX Redistributable" files were corrupted. With the help of Adobe support I have deinstalled almost all of them and reinstalled new from Microsoft. This solved the problem I have since 3 or 4 weeks. Now Photoshop is installed und works fine. This was done creating a additional admin user account and by sharing my screen with Adobe support. From my point of view the Adobe support was very supportive, professional, and patiently.

@LaSer, aha - and thank you.

for other users:

check for, and if available, update your os

repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired.

to repair:

  1. Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. for each Microsoft C++ Redistributable, right-click > click on Change (if it's available) > click repair.
  3. Do not uninstall any ms c++ redistributables

Hello, I have the same problem since 3 or 4 weeks. Adobe Creative Cloud (ACC) stops around 50% download with the same error (113). I've tried all the hints and tipps and "solutions" from "helpx.adobe.com". Nothing helps. Even de-installing and re-installing of ACC. Now I have deinstalled Photoshop, and now I cannot install it back.

I'm afraid, that I will have update problems with my other Adobe apps (Lightroom Classic, ...) in the near future.

Any other hints or tips?

Thanks in advace.

Hello kglad,

thanks you, I've made already all these steps. And yes, My web browser supports TL 1.2 (and TSL 1.3). It is the current version of Firefox. As mentioned, ACC starts downloading the update, until it arrives around 50%. And then it breaks with the error message (113). Before the current version of ACC I was able to download 20% only.

in addition to the suggestions in @Manan Joshi 's link, make sure your default browser supports tls 1.2 per https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html

to test your default browser's tls you can use , https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html
