installation issue with photoshop elements 11 on Mac OSX

I needed to re-install PE 11 on my Mac.  I have original dvd and serial number.

However, when trying to install I get message: Installer cannot initialize. Download Adobe support advisor. However, this is no longer available.

How to fix?

    Thanks. this helped me to solve the problem; the Adobe application

    manager was corrupt. after downloading and re-installing, it worked.

    Bart2252 you will want to review your PDApp.log for the exact error message.  Please see Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.
