I‌ purchased a new IMac and after moving. All my data I opened Acrobat.  It quit and told me to reinstall.  In attempting to reinstall it stops before completion and says to contact Adobe.  Have tried this numerous times with the same results.  Even closed most applications.  Haven't tried closing every thing but the installer, yet.

    Hi,

Try quitting all the adobe processes from Activity monitor.

    Trash the following folders :

1- Go To: Finder > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installer > Uninstall Adobe Acrobat

2-Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option. -- You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( " Do not miss ~ symbol " )

~/library ( It will open User Library folder. )

3- Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe> trash Acrobat

4- Again > Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.> You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key./library ( It will open System Library folder.)

5- Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe> trash Acrobat

6- Run the acrobat cleaner tool : http://download.macromedia.com/SupportTools/Cleaner/mac/AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.dmg

Download the program again from : Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X

Let us know if this helps.
