installation of elements 10, hanging at final stages of instalation

I am trying to install Elements 10, that I brought, on to my laptop PC (vista)  and it gets what seems to be along way through the instalation process then hangs.  I have had to uninstall it it twice and try again but it hangs at the same point.  Has anyone got any suggestions?

    Many thanks for your response at the forth attempt at installing it finally worked.  It was hanging at the very end of the installation when it said removing back up files.

    At what stage of installation does it freezes and what is the operating system you are on?
