Installation problem with Adobe Acrobat DC Pro on Mac

Having just purchased the pro version I was expecting installation to be easy. Takes forever to download and then it tells me I have need to close Safari, because there is a conflict, however Safari isn't open.

Is there any other way to install the Pro version without the installer?

Thanks.

I have a different problem relating to installing Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Mac which I purchased from Amazon.

I had downloaded a 'trial' for Adobe Acrobat Pro from the website---7-day trial with the option to buy. Before the expiration of the trial, I decided to purchase the software from Amazon.

When the 7-day trial expired, it asked if would buy the product or license the software. Since I had purchased the software from Amazon, I clicked on 'license the software' and I entered the Product Key information when asked for the serial number.

Bottomline, I am unable to download the software purchased from Amazon because this 'trial' thing is getting in the way. I apparently succeeded in installing the software but when I tried to apply it, I got a message that the trial expired (even if I trashed the trial file before downloading the Amazon-acquired software).

    Help!
