Ah! Thanks to Pandorica, who found the answer. This worked for me on Windows 8 (64bit): Possible solution for people having problems updating InDesign CC to 9.2.2 on Windows 7/8

I'm having the same exact issue. Tried the direct link and installation failed with Error Code: U44M2P34. Is there an alternative to a full re-installation of everything? I have already tried twice uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign CC. It installed fine, but then said it couldn't apply the patch. Now InDesign won't even open. Has anyone been able to get around this issue? Thanks...

dbonura it appears many of us are having this issue. Solutions vary as it appears different things work for different people. At the moment I am left with the unfortunate possibility of uninstalling the entire Creative Cloud and then running the CC Cleaner Tool to fix this one issue. Have you tried any of the suggested solutions?

Hi Dennis,

Please try to apply the updates manually from : http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-updates-direct-links-windows.html.

Kindly follow the very important instructions before download.

This error usually comes when you move adobe folder to different location from root drive and try to update the application. If the above mentioned step did not work then uninstall the application and remove all adobe folders. Restart your machine and install the application again and check for updates. It should Work.

Regards,

Ravi

I'm getting the same error today with the 6/12/14 update of InDesign.

Nothing has changed on my end, all CC products are/were installed at the default location. The direct link to the update is not available, yet.
