Installer error 127

I see lots of existing posts on this, none so far regarding Mac.

During the installation of Audition, I'm getting this error and Adobe's site says:

127Unable to extract files.

Do the following:

  • Check permission on adobetemp folder located at [Win] <system drive>/adobetemp or [macOS] <system drive>\adobetemp.

There is no <system drive>/adobetemp; nor can there be. It's now a read-only filesystem (as of Catalina).

You upgraded your OS?  Please see about known issues below.

  • Try creating a new Mac user profile with full administrative permissions.
  • Install the latest OS updates.
  • Restart your computer.

Thanks for the reference. Looks like it's Pro Tools for me, then!

Bye-bye Audition. You were the best part of CC.
