Installer failed to initialize

I downloaded Adobe CS6, which I purchased and tried reinstalling it.  Once I clicked on the Installer, the following message popped up.

Adobe Installer

"Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."

As the Adobe Support Advisor is discontinued, what do I do.  I went to the forums, but I do not understand the procedures for diagnosing and correcting the problem.

Please help!

Peter

I'm having this problem too. So what you're saying is that CS6 won't load onto the newest OS X software system? My other CS6 programs are working fine. Thank you.

newer mac os'es are incompatible with older adobe software.  that was an apple decision.
