Installer failed to initialize, Adobe Creative Suite Design and Web Premium on clean Yosemite instance

I've just set up a new computer (mac mini 2014, 2.6Ghz/8GRAM/1TB drive) and attempts to install generate the error "Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."  And of course Adobe Support Advisor doesn't exist anymore.  I downloaded a new installer from the adobe site, same problem.  Java version is 1.7.0_71.
