Installing a new version of PS Elements
I am about to purchase Photoshop Elements 2018 online. Must I fully delete photo shop elements 10 before doing this or will the new version overwrite as necessary?

pse 10 will not be removed when installing pse 2018. they are compatible.
you can remove pse 10 before or after installing 2018, but make sure you have your pse 10 serial number secured before removing it or you won't be able to activate your 2018 upgrade (assuming you're purchasing an upgrade).
