installing adobe creative suite 6 design standard for Windows on a Mac computer

Hi. My father purchased Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard box set with CD for Windows operating system. He would now like to have this software on his new Mac computer. Will the CD install the software on the Mac or does he need to purchase software specifically for Mac operating system? Any feedback would be very helpful as we are new to Adobe products.

    You can't use diesel in a gasoline engine, or Windows programs in a Mac (unless you have the Mac software installed that will emulate Windows)

    Thanks for getting back to me. I thought as much. Such a shame because he hasn't used the software yet.  I will check out the link you posted.
