Installing After Effects 7.0 Pro on MacBook Pro

I am trying to install my After Effects 7.0 Pro for Mac on my MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion X and Intel processor but keep getting error messages and it won't install.

Any advice or can I not use 7.0 on a newer MacBook Pro?

My hunch is that the system requirements include having a PowerPC processor and my newer Mac has an Intel processor. But, I was wondering if there is any workaround to this.

No.

The only workaround is to purchase After Effects CS6 or join the Adobe Cloud.

What error messages are you getting.  Include the entire message(s).  It is possible the software is too old to install on a new machine.

It reads "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
