installing an older version of adobe creative suite 3 software on a new computer that doesn't support CD drives

i own adobe creative suite 3 design standard that are packaged as CD's. I have purchased a new macbook pro and it does not have a CD drive. How do i go about installing my software into my computer now? can i download this version from the adobe website and put in my serial numbers? or alternatively can i upgrade my software to the latest version available? and how much will it cost?
