Installing Creative Cloud bombs; PDApp.log ends with a [FATAL] "Application is in corrupted state: /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager"

I've run through a bunch of the troubleshooting and cleanup advice, and now I am stuck, the installer shuts down with the progress bar about half-way across.

Seems like the log is too large to paste in here, but it's looking normal to a nearly technical user until the last several lines, right after all the downloads complete (and wow, am I tired of waiting through those over and over, where are they, and why can't I pick up from there?)  At any rate, the last line suggests it's outside of CC somehow, since it's saying:

"Detected db journal file, Application is in corrupted state: /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager"
