installing creative cloud on new macbook pro stalled at 45.5%

Question

I have a new macbook pro. I tried to install creative cloud and it stalled at 45.5% (stuck there for over 45 minutes). I quit installer, and it hung up trying to clean up the install(?), so I force quit and rebooted.

I am trying to install it again and it again is stalled at 45.5%, been an hour at that percentage so far.

I searched the support database and it tells me to run the uninstaller included with creative cloud.

Um . . . how do I do that if it won’t install Creative Cloud?

I am inclined to force quit again and install the individual apps that I need, but WTF?

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

download the cc desktop app by using the links at the both of this page, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/download-install-apps/creative-cloud-apps/download-creative-cloud-desktop-app-from-web.html

install the cc desktop app using an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
