I'm confused, as I had CS3 working just fine on my desktop for years, now that I got a new laptop it will only give me the 30-day trial option. I have licensed software for Adobe Photoshop 5.0, and 7.0 (upgrade) with lost serial #.....trying to install CS3 on my new laptop. Again, it worked fine on my desktop for years.

when you start your cs3 installation you'll be prompted for the cs3 serial number. the installer will detect that you have an upgrade serial number and then prompt you to select a qualifying upgrade (from a dropdown menu) and then prompt you for the the upgrade's serial number.
if you need a cs2 serial number and you have a cs2 license, "Activation server unavailable" error in Adobe CS2, Acrobat 7, and Audition 3
