Installing CS4 as an upgrade to CS1

IMy iMac crashed with CS1.1 on it...lost everything. I have CS4 which I've never installed...I attempted to install, was prompted for the serial #, entered it, and then was prompted for the serial # for CS1...entered it, and am waiting for some kind of response. How long does it take?

    The response would normally be somewhat immediate.  The problem might lie in the CS1 serial number processing - there is no longer activation service for CS1 and the processing for the upgrade might require that.  You probably need to contact Adobe Support thru chat to see what they can do to assist you... I don't think they are available during weekends.
