Installing CS4 on new Computer (after old ones are destroyed, but still keeping the codes)

Hello

I have purchased few Adobe products for working on different computers. I'm working with a more topic version on my Mac, but now got a new Laptop with Windows and wanted to install my former CS4 - version on it. It says that the licence key isn't possible, after I have used it on 2 computers already. But these computers are really really dead and one of them is already thrown away  years ago. How can I delete all the former installations or registrations, so that I can use the registration-codes on my topic computers again?

And just another question: Is there any link available, to download CS4 again to these computers? I have registered all purchases on my Adobe account to proof that's everything legal of course.

Thank you very much and many greetings from Austria,

Sindije Saljii

    Downloads are available:

    Download and Installation Help -

    https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

    CS4 - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html

You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

    CS3 and CS4: http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

As far as the activated old machines go, you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and request an activation reset.  Do not ask for more or they will refuse to help - they do not provide support for older products.

Chat support - For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

Make sure you are logged in to the Adobe site, have cookies enabled, clear your cookie cache.  If it fails to connect try using a different browser.

Serial number and activation chat support (non-CC)

As far as installing old software on a new machine goes, don't get your hopes up for being able to do that.  Newer operating systems were not designed with supprting older software in mind.  You might need to search these forums to see if you can find anyone who has been able to get CS4 running on whatever operating system your new machine has.  CS4 is stretching your chances thin.

Thank you so much!!! It really helped a lot. Just got the confirmation of the activation resets :-)

Now just hoping that it will work on the new computer as well

I might have found the answer to the Download of CS4 (finally found a link on Adobe, hope it works). But the answer to this problem:
“Activation limit reached” or “Sign-in failed” error

    https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/error-activation-limit-reached-sign.html

-> Can't access your old computer?
leads me to this forum again. Serial number is available, of course. Not sure where to send the information at all.

    Thank you
