I have CS5 and I'm more than happy to stick with it, it there anyone who can help me try and get it back on my computer? I've got the original discs and all but it ejects it before I can go any further.

Thanks in advance,

Mandi

As far as I know, Adobe does not keep emails when they send you a serial number... you are supposed to safeguard a serial number like you would money (which it represents)

Thanks, this is so helpful. I'm not hunting down where I put my activation code. Is there some way for support to check the email address and help provide it? My version says that i need internet activation and I can't find any trace of it in my email, which is very upsetting.

IF Mac El Capitan (or the newer Sierra operating system) read below

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

    -Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319

you can copy the disk files to a desktop directory, if you can read the cd contents, and install from that directory.

    Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
