Installing CS6 on iMac - InDesign & After Effects Error

I just downloaded Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection on my new 27" iMac.

Every program in the suite installed properly with the exception of InDesign and After Effects.

InDesign gives me this error message: You can’t open the application “Adobe InDesign CS6” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

After Effects gives me this error message: You can’t use this version of the application “Adobe After Effects CS6” with this version of OS X. You have “Adobe After Effects CS6” 11.0.

I downloaded CS6 using this link - Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications  - and then selected CS6 Master Collection, put in my serial number and went along my way. Like I mentioned, everything downloaded and installed fine with the exception of InDesign and After Effects.

Please help!

    Correct answer John T Smith

As I said... not tested and will never be updated... so may work, or may not

Only the much newer Cloud versions are tested and updated for new operating systems

IF Mac El Capitan read below

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

    -Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

That just seems crazy. I have El Capitan on my Macbook Pro as well and experienced no issues with CS6.

Can I get a version of InDesign somewhere that will work with El Capitan?
