Installing my Illustrator CS4

Hi, I have just bought a new MacBook Pro and when I try to install my Illustrator CS4 the installer refuses to let me type in my serial number and I'm obliged to opt for a trial period. Why am I having this problem?

    Hi Fergus1,

    Please check if you have the right serial number meant for the right software version else the installer will not accept.

    Give me the serial number and I will check that for you.

    Please do not post the serial number on a public forum.

    I have checked the serial number and it is meant for Illustrator CS4.

    Can you post a screenshot of the error message you are getting?
