Installing Photoshop

I've already purchased the newest version of photoshop but now I'm having trouble installing. Below are my operating system specs:

OS X

Version 2.8.2

Processor 1.8 GHz Cor i5

Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

      Please match your hardware with these minimum requirements from the Tech Specs official Adobe document:

      • Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
      • Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7. Adobe Creative Suite 3, 4, 5, CS5.5, and CS6 applications support Mac OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8) when installed on Intel based systems.**
      • 1GB of RAM
      • 2GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
      • 1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with 16-bit color and 256MB (512MB recommended) of VRAM
      • OpenGL 2.0–capable system
      • DVD-ROM drive
      • This software will not operate without activation. Broadband Internet connection and registration are required for software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.† Phone activation is not available.

      * Some GPU-enabled features are not supported on Windows XP.

      Also, please mention what exact error you're getting while installing the product. A screenshot would be nice.

      Many times when you see an old thread like this on the first page of a forum, it's because a spammer posted and the post was deleted.

      Spammers target old threads for some reason.

        Probably, Kglad, but Savannah stated she had bought the newest Photoshop. 

         

        If you are trying to install an older version of Photoshop, Savannah, then see https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/download-non-subscription-adobe-software/td-p/11919842 for information on how you can download non-subscription software from your Adobe account. This would include older versions of Photoshop if they are available.

          Good point; we will be switching to a new engagement engine soon. I wonder if it will still display 10-year-old discussions as current.

          Savannah, sorry you are unable to install Photoshop. Can you post the exact version of Photoshop you are trying to install? I don't see any recent purchases or active memberships under the e-mail address you used to post to this public discussion forum. 

           

          Can you also confirm that you are using Mac OS 10 and not a more recent version, Savannah?
