Installing Photoshop CS6, need qualifying previous product. Enter S/N for Photoshop CS5. System say not a qualifying product. Stuck.

Installing Photoshop CS6, need qualifying previous product. Found my S/Ns on the Adobe Web Site. Enter S/N for Photoshop CS5 in prompt screen. System says not a qualifying product. Stuck.

    when you start your ps cs6 installation, you will be prompted for the ps cs6 serial number.  after entering that (and failing to find an installed qualifying product), the installer will prompt you to select a qualifying product.

    if that's ps 5, select that from the dropdown and you will be prompted for the ps cs5 serial number.

    enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will proceed.

    if your qualifying product is not ps cs5, but ps cs5.1 or anything other than the exact match shown under your account, your qualifying product serial number will not be accepted.
