installing Photoshop Elements, serial number

The proceswindow asks for the serial number. I have one, 24 numbers. The proceswindow has 6 (six) places!?!? What's wrong?

    4 numbers in each of the 6 places = 24 numbers

    a valid adobe serial number is 6 groups of 4 numbers.  the serial number must match the installation file or you'll see an invalid serial number message.
