Insufficient space on an SSD "C" Drive

I understand that the maximum SSD drive available is 250 gb. But too many programs default to "C" drive with no ability to put on other drives. There have been a number of replies to this vexed question, How can I free up space to be able to update Adobe CC programmes. Everything defaults to "C" drive, which in my case is an SSD drive with only 3.5 gb free. I have 1 Tb free on D drive on which I have scratch disks. Effectively I can no longer update Adobe CC programs. I am a user, not a coder so I would be reluctant to start fiddling around with my "C" drive. I have already cleared out everything that doesn't matter put still I need more space. Has anyone any suggestions other than to buy a new computer with a conventional "C" drive?

I have 4 ssd in my home built computer

256Gig C drive, with about 70Gig used

All programs, and all MS Office files are on the C drive

All Adobe files are split on my other 3 drives

Video input files on 512Gig drive

Project and temp files on 128Gig drive

Output files on 256Gig drive

"I understand that the maximum SSD drive available is 250 gb." No, that's tiny. Too small for ANY serious use. You can't expect to run demanding Creative Cloud apps with such a small SSD as system disk.

I have a 2 TB SSD C drive. Seems to work very well.

256 GB is not the largest. Really, it's a pitifully small disk, which is only suitable for people doing a little word processing and web browsing. The system will put an enormous amount of stuff on C, including apps (which can sometimes be moved) and many more things that can't. It's fast, but the jump down from spinny disks that were getting on for a 2 GB standard has caught a lot of people out. It's a cost thing.

I have read carefully your answer, thank you for it.

Do you mean I have to install Adobe programs (essentially Ps, Lrc, ) on my "C" disk, which contains 300Go only of datas (mainly pictures) on a 1To disk?

You understand wrong... I have 4 ssd drives... 128Gig... 2x256Gig,... 512Gig

I have also read messages where people have talked about 1 Terrabyte ssd

As well as what has been said, move all of your data files over to your other drive

How large is your C drive overall?

You could uninstall the current iterations of your Adobe programs and then install newer versions.

That would free up used space in the interim.
