Hi there, so I have a 350 document in word and would like to create something more interactive so reader can view on laptop, ipad or iphone if needed.

I am somewhat familiar with in design, illustrator, photoshop on a very basic level.  Presently we are converting the document to PDF and distributing to readers.  It is boring.  Any suggestions on where to start.  The context will need to be updated every other month.  Any suggestions on where to start with the cc apps?

I would recommend taking a look at InDesign for this project. You can add interactivity to the publication, and then use Publish Online to publish it as an HTML5 document that can be viewed on a computer or device.

Take a look at the two links to documents already published in this file. They will give you a good idea of the capabilities of this workflow: Use Publish Online to publish your InDesign documents

What kind of interactivity are you wanting to use? Do you just want to make reading it more interesting? If so, have you tried Adobe Spark page? It will build newsletter-type things with some very interesting effects very easily.
