"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message since Adobe updates

Question

Is anyone else having this problem? Ever since I installed the most recent Adobe updates the past week, whenever I open IE8 on XP -AND- open IE9 on Windows 7, I keep getting a message "

"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

Is anyone else having this problem - especially going to my homepage; If I go to a website and come back again, it usually runs, but I don't run to run the troubleshooter everythime I open I.E.

Is this related to the recent Adobe updates by chance??

Jonny, It has nothing to do with the Adobe updates as adobe update does not have anything that can cause changes to you internet or internet browser.

There might be some issues with your IE. Have you installed any windows update recently?

Try following the below article that talks about resetting the IE settings and check if that helps.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/153790

Also, try different browser and check if everything works fine on that.
