Invalid Serial Number

When installing Photoshop Elements, I get the "Invalid Serial Number" error message. I obtained the serial number that I am entering by using Belarc Advisor to extract it from my old computer .

1. Is there a fix for this problem?

2. I don't remember the 'User Name' or 'Organisation'. Are these mandatory or is there a way of recovering these?

You don't need to use the same user name or organisation. You do need to use the same version. Are you using your original disks?
