Yes. Adobe ID's enable online activation of your Creative Cloud apps.

What is online activation, and why is it required?

Online activation is a process in which an Adobe app connects to Adobe servers, and is then associated with the computer on which it's being used. It helps Adobe ensure that the software you're installing is genuine Adobe software, and protects you from inadvertently installing counterfeit software.

Activation will take place once every 30 days for a subscription license check. If you are not online for 30 days, your product will tell you to connect to the Internet. In the event that we cannot activate the product, we will warn you when you launch the application. Note that blocking access to the activation server will prevent the app from launching.

Is there any way to submit a subscription license check before the 30 days interval?

For example, if I'm on the 29th day, but I know I'll be traveling somewhere away without internet connection in the days following, how can I continue using the Creative Cloud software offline without it getting blocked?

Thanks!

Mr. Chamberlain we have discussed this topic in our FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#what-cc.  Please see the following:

No.  Your Creative Cloud desktop applications (such as Photoshop and Illustrator) are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis.

You will need to be online when you install and license your software. If you have an annual membership, you'll be asked to connect to the web to validate your software licenses every 30 days.  However, you'll be able to use products for 3 months (99 days) even if you're offline.

To add to that there is not a way to force the software to check our activation servers but it is a requirement that there be Internet access available within 30 days of the last check.

If you are planning on traveling often, with infrequent access to the Internet, then I would recommend getting the annual plan which will allow you to have up to 99 days offline as discussed in the FAQ.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, I can access any apps that I have downloaded to my machine without an internet connection? As long as I be sure to allow it to connect once per month to verify the activation?

It this correct?

Thanks!
