Question

Is installing Illustrator CS6 on Citrix XenApp 6.5/Windows Server 2008 R2 supported?

Our company has volume licenses for Adobe's products. When I looked at the system requirements for Adobe Illustrator CS6 I noticed a distinct lack of server-class operating systems in the list of supported operating systems. I just wanted to check and see if installing Illustrator CS6 on a Citrix XenApp 6.5 server running Windows Server 2008 R2 is supported. If so, there is one more snag. These are all provisioned servers, running off of a single image on a Citrix PvS.

Thanks,

Mike

I only ask because, in the past we were able to install a related product, InDesign CS5 in Citrix. In fact, Adobe had published documentation for doing exactly that: here. I just haven't seen anything similar for Illustrator CS6 and wanted to check.

Desktop programs generally do not support server operating systems and virtualization adds another layer of complication. You can try on your own time and risk, but you will never hear anything official about it from Adobe. It's simply completely unsupported.
