Is LightRoom 3 comaptiable with Windows 8?

I'm looking at upgrading my wife's current windows 7 laptop to a newer system but everything out there is running Windows 8. I have been able to find any information on whether LightRoom 3 is compatible with Windows 8 or what the migration process is. Any help would be appreciated.

Ask for specifics about migrating catalogs in the LR forum. On a more general level I don't think LR3 will be compatible with Win 8 and you may need to upgrade to LR4.
