Question

Is windows 10 now the way forward for CC?

Just wanted to get peoples opinion on what windows version to go with.  Im looking to get a new system but not sure if I take the opportunity to switch to windows 10 or stay with my old faithful windows 7.

Any thoughts?

Going back to earlier versions of CC apps (EXCEPT Acrobat) is at least easy. Try going back to an earlier Windows 10 and the pain really starts...

Or to look at it another way - if you like "old faithful" software - and I know I do - why are you chasing the latest Adobe changes and bugs, when you don't want to do the same with Windows? A nice, stable, frozen system is what I like. The big catch is that once it drops out of support you will need to minimize internet use - just connecting once a month to validate license. Hackers have changed all our worlds.

I agree, Im currently kicking myself for updating After Effects.  All was working fine with 15.0.1 but switching to 15.1.2 and now my graphics cards is stopping it from launching.  The only thing adobe says is disable the graphics cards which isnt really a work around considering loads of my plugins are GPU accelerated.  Nvidia say its adobe's problem, adobe say its Nvidias.  Wish I'd not done anything   Now Im thinking switching to windows 10 and doing a big update might resolve things.....or simply go back to AE 2017.

There are many arguments against Windows 10, but it is the only way forward for Windows users with CC. Soon Windows 7 support will be dropped, app by app.

I thought so Bit annoying that decisions are forced but I guess if thats the way things are going, thats the way things are going
