I am experiencing an issue updating PS

LR-PS-Creative Cloud all new in last two weeks

Error showing in Creative Cloud Desktop - Photoshop update failed

STEPS TRIED

- Click ReTry but error code 306 appears

- Click learn more, input 306 error code, confirmation 'error installing this update'

- Tried Download from the section marked Solutions that didn't work so tried Windows altrernative download (Windows 10 -64 bit)

- Unzipped the file and clicked set-up,exe

C:\Users\........\Downloads\ACCCx5_5_0_617

The download bar proceeded to confirm installation but.....

when I return to Creative Cloud Desktop it still states... 'update failed Retry'

I closed the App and reopened it but still made no differnce

Help Please

Paul

Correct answer Paul-111

Would it be worth uninstalling PS and reinstalling it?

Would it cause any issues with my account or would it automatically link to my package?

If you think it is worth trying please confirm link to download PS

Paul

Thank you for your help it is really appreciated.

I went to uninstall Creative Cloud, chose repair. Once completed PS updated no problem.

Thanks again

Paul

Hi thanks for your reply

I have been to that page you mention

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

Downloaded for Windows 10 - 64 bit all as axplained above, sorry if I wasn't clear, I was trying to confirm as much as possible.

Result after installing is still 'update Fail' Retry

Does your computer user profile have administrative permissions to read/write to files on the hard drive which is needed for installation?
