so I bought creative cloud yesterday evening and began downloading creative cloud. Once the CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe file hit 43% an error came up and stated failed to install error code 1. I of course tried again and the same thing happens. I even tried downloading some other applications, like photoshop and the same thing happens, fail to install error code 1 ends at 43%. at this point its become repetitive. I've researched this issue and I have tried everything. I even cleared out every single one of my temp files last night in order to get this thing to work, but it hasn't. I've really tried everything. I've tried the cleaner probably 6+ times now and still no luck. the only thing I haven't done was the oobe folder thing, but I couldn't even find that because there aren't any locatable adobe files left on my computer, as far as I know. it gets caught at 43% every single time and then the error code 1 comes up stating it failed to install.

what I think has to do with the problem is, when I first got this computer I downloaded the 30 day free trial of creative cloud. it ended, then I simply just deleted it or whatever. little did I know deleting it was a little more technical than I thought seeing that there is a specific tool that you should download to remove it (which I have also used now!). well anyway, I didn't do that, i'm sure i just right-clicked on the icon and pressed delete. i was just being lazy and at the time i didn't really care as i barely even used the free trial.

but really I have no idea what the problem is seeing I have attempted to clear all adobe files from my computer and even used the uninstaller and still no luck. I went to bed last night hoping it might for some odd reason it might work in the morning, nope, try all the steps again, nope.

seeing i really have tried everything I've been able to dig up info on, i'm thinking my really only last resort is to factory reset because i don't see this coming with a simple resolution after all this work I've already put in. anyway, i don't really want to factory reset my computer because its a hassle, so are there any other possible options left?

"Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app

    • Did you use the CC Cleaner Tool to wipe all traces of Adobe CC off your system?
    • Did you try installing again with Administrator permissions (full read, write & execute)?
    • Did you try disabling firewall & anti-virus?

Have you tried System Restore to a point before you installed the trial?

i have not, but i'm aware that that is another option but basically equivalent to a factory reset, because when i installed the trial it was within the first few weeks of owning my computer, plus i am not sure of the date. i might just follow through and do a factory reset or a system restore, either way i'll have to back some things up. it not a super big deal, just a hassle, i was hoping that there might've been some other options left.
