Latest Update November 2018 Crashes

I had 4 good days with the latest versions of Adobe CC apps and today, they crash, won't open, crash while opening, crash my computer, kick the dog, use all the hot water... I did some net reading and followed some others advice. I deinstalled everything Adobe and stepped back to the older versions.

What a basket of armless Barbies...

That is super-frustrating. "Basket of armless Barbies" is my new most-descriptive phrase of the week.

It sounds like you could try installing both old-and-new versions if there's available space on your Mac. Here's a document that does go into some details I hadn't previously known about older versions, and some hidden options in the CC desktop app that might be useful. Scroll about halfway down:

Update apps to the latest release of Adobe Creative Cloud

I hope it gets better. Reach out to Adobe Support if things still don't go well:

What apps? On what kind of system? What errors are you seeing (if any)? We're going to need a whole lot more basic information in order to try to help you.

I apologize. I was a little more than frustrated. I work in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy and Acrobat. I've worked with Illustrator since the Beta version of '88. I installed the latest versions of CC Thursday. Everything worked well Friday and Saturday. I returned to my Mac last night to do some work and while "waking up" the computer told me it had crashed and rebooted.

It took forever to settle into the desktop window and the 5 apps never fully loaded. I tried to relaunch them. They bounced like toddlers in a bouncy house till I finally got messages saying they had crashed while launching and would I like to try again? I decided that it would be a better use of my time to do some simple sleuthing on the net and I came back with lots of similar testimonials. All ended with, "I finally had to uninstall the latest versions and go back to all 2018" or some variant thereof. They all seem to be dated from October 5th up till yesterday.

I did that and everything is back to normal.

    I have a 2011 iMac running OS 10.12.6, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 13333 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB.

My "Angry Post" was an attempt to let you know what my experience was. I am sure that the bug will get worked out and I will be looking for the announcement because the 2019 versions have some awesome new tweaks.
