Launching CS6 - procedure entry point

Hi,

I installed PS CS6 Extended and didn't get any error messages. But when I try to launch the programm, the error <<The procedure entry point "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" could not be found in the DLL "KERNEL32.dll.">> occurs and PS doesn't start.

I use Win XP SP 3, Windows Update tells me that there aren't any more updates for my system and I didn't have any older version of PS installed previously. Also deinstalling and reinstalling CS6 doesn't help. Could you please help me?

The T2500 is a dual core processor. The system requirements list a pentium 4. Do you want to say that on an old single core pentium4 photoshop will work, but on a newer dual core not?

Also, doesn't the error popup seem to indicate that there is a problem with a certain dll i.e. the operating system?

Are you 100% sure that your XP system is SP3?  This error usually just occurs on older service pack levels.

If you are sure about SP3, can you tell us what the version number is of kernel32.dll ?

What processor? What other details? Sounds like your system is simply genuinely not compatible.

Intel T2500 2x2,00GHZ, 1 GB RAM  - what else do you want to know?

ExtendedSkript Toolkit and Extension Manager launch properly; PS and Bridge cause the mentioned error.

The T2500 appears to be a single core processor although it doesn't appear that we require multiple cores on our system requirements page for Windows.  Please see the system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopextended/tech-specs.html.  This error indicates you are not meeting one or more of the minium system requirements.
