Question

License impossible to install

Hello,

I have a license for Adobe Web Premium that I paid more than €2,000 for, which gives me the right to two installations. A few years ago, my laptop broke down with one of the licenses installed, and recently, I changed some components on my computer. When I tried to reinstall Photoshop on my computer, the application told me that I must first uninstall a license, which is of course impossible since I no longer have access to the previous installations. How can I proceed to install my license on my computer ?

The products appear on my Adobe account, but it doesn't show any activated products in the list of activated products.

I also tried Adobe AI chat and Adobe on Twitter, but without success.

Thank you.
Kind regards

Unsupported Web Premium is a legacy Creative Suite product.  It's more than a decade past its "replace me" date. You can't deactivate legacy products online.  Sorry, that only applies to current Creative Cloud subscriptions.

Unless you have access to the devices on which CS was previously installed to free up activations for use on a third device, you're stuck.  There's not a thing anybody can do except direct you to supported replacements.

This product is old but still more than enough for me. Considering the price, it is unacceptable to lose an expensive license because it is impossible to uninstall the activated license on a broken computer. I bought a lifetime license and seeing how Adobe behaves with those who pay a fortune for their products, I can guarantee you that my alternative will never be an Adobe product again

@Davids777

you can still use for 30days.  after that there are ways to continually get another 30 days.  none of those are both simple and convenient, but if you're interested, let me know.

If you replaced certain components, Adobe sees the computer as a different computer.

The only way to free up an activation is to deactivate it from the computer that was activated.

If you can't deactivate from the laptop, and didn't deactivate it before changing components, I think your only option would be to reinstall the old components, and hope that Adobe sees it as the computer on which it was activated.

You could then deactivate it, reinstall the new components, and activate it.

Hi, I replaced main board AM3 to AM4, RAM and CPU.

If Adobe don't give any solution to unlock a 2000€ licence, I understand why people prefer piracy instead of paying an unsafe very expensive licence. I paid for safety but in the end I just lose money

you would have to restore the hardware on the computer that has an activation in order to deactivate.  that would not be easy and, if it's impossible, it's not possible to deactivate on that computer.  there are two with activations.  are they both impossible to use for deactivation?

Davids, thanks for posting your question on managing your activations for Creative Suite Web Premium. Please see https://adobe.ly/3FDxSjJ for information on how to manage and utilize any remaining activations in 2025. ^JW
