Lightroom 4.1 download activation

I downloaded and installed Lightroom 4.1 on a Mac with OS 10.6.8; however, when I tried to open it, I was given the option of a trial or buy.  I chose buy, but I was only able to buy Lightroom 5, which won't run on OS 10.6.8.  How can I buy and/or activate 4.1?

    adobe's no longer selling lr 4.  if you have serial number from a previous purchase, you should be able to activate lr 4 or 4.1.

    otherwise, you might be able to upgrade your os to mavericks, Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mavericks.
