Hello,

I use Lightroom 4 for many years, even it has not new improuvment, I am loving it. I have to change my Macbook, I will get MacOS Big Sur. I realy dont want to pay a subscription for Lightroom...

Is there a possibility to install Lightroom 4 on Big Sur ? Or to get Lightroom 6 ?

Thanks for your helpt, best regrads

Marc

Unfortunately those old versions of Lightroom are no longer available and Big Sur is itself a 5-year old OS and is end of life as well that is unsupported by Apple as of November of 2023. Subscriptions are not an option for you either as both Lightroom and Lightroom CC require Mac OS 13.1 so unless that old Macbook you are changing to can be upgraded to Ventura. Your options for the moment will be very limited. I would consider your options then determine whether a newer computer with a subscription is what you need or whether you want to consider alternatives at that point based on system requirements.

lr 5 is available.

windows: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/legacy/lightroom/win/5.x/Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_7_1.exe (copy and paste this. clicking will fail.)

mac: https://trials.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/legacy/99CABBAC-C975-4A06-8D99-064C6871EE80/LTRM/5_7_1/osx10/...

interesting.  clicking the mac link works in both messages and clicking the win link fails in both.

@kglad

But that will only work as a trial without a serial number, correct?

i sure hope so.  it should be no different that any other perpetually license (non-volume) adobe software.
