Lightroom 5.7.1 Installation problem

Having tried to install Lightroom on several occassions and tried (unsuccessfully) to fix this issue through google searches and other forums I'm hoping I can funally resolve the issue through here:

On trying to install lightroom 5.7.1 I get the following error:

Error 1935 FF2F571A-6C54-31E3-B23E-2A60283B08A8 HRESULT: 0X80073712

The download at this point (about 80%) then frustratingly proceeds to roll back

I have other Adobe products installed and have not encountered a problem with them, the only difference being they were mainly from disk, Lightroom is on a download.

I would be grateful for guidance on what this error means and how it could be fixed, please without reference to another thread if possible.

Many thanks

    Hi Alanh53057846,

The Error 1935 occur due to some issues with .net-framework, please refer to the following help document: Error 1935 | Assembly component Microsoft.VC80.CRT | Install | Adobe Creative Suite 5.5, CS5, CS4 | Windows.

Let us know if this helps.

    Hi

Thanks for your reply Bani, however I have previously tried this route a couple of times after reading the forum to no success, I'm afraid.

I've also tried downloading a previous version of Lightroom 5 to see if it will install then upgrade but each time receive failed download.

Other packages such as Photoshop Elements 11 and 14 install from disk with no problems.

Further ideas/thoughts would be most welcome.

    Kind regards
