Chat agent suggested I came here. I have LR 5.7 (purchased not subscription) on Mac desktop and want to install on Mac laptop.

Installed OK but won't accept serial no - "The serial number you have entered is invalid.Try again ...."

Mac High Sierra 10.13.6. 24 character serial in 4 by 6 boxes.

As far as I remember it was an upgrade purchased from Adobe.

Desktop installation indicatess both original and upgrade serials.

And a vaild serial should start with 1160 and be 24 total Number characters long.

At the first screen it should ask for the actual serial # for LR 5. Then once that is entered Correctly a second set of boxes should come up asking for the serial # from a Qualifying Previous Version. Any previous version serial # will work, even back to LR V1.

Once that is enter you may get a Registration screen that you do not have to fill out. And then the program should function.

I don't know if relevant, but I've noticed in my Adobe account Notifications, The Street Address has a corrupted entry, putting my postcode as Aberdeen, when it is Kendal.

Is it asking for a “qualifying serial” at all?

No, it just says "provide a serial number"

Just Shoot Me - Thanks for your reply. It only asks for the actual serial, and I then do as you say. But there is not then a second set of boxes asking for any QPV.
