Lightroom 6.0 to 6.12 update not possible

I have bought Lightroom 6 as a CD version. The update to higher versions is not possible.

While starting patch installer a message pops up: Windows administrator refuses installation (I am the Admin).

In Lightroom "Help --> Update" is not active (can not click).

I tried with Firewall off and had the same result.

I did the procedure with a independent computer and a different version of Windows (8 and 10).

i am glad to get your help

Thank you in advance!
Bruno

Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

Dear John

Thank you very much for your answer! Unfortunately, it doesn't help. We did exactly what you proposed, but with the same result as before. Even the help of a computer-professional didn't bring sucess.

When I open LR6.0 and go to "help->update", I am not able to press that function as it is not in bold (it remains inactive and grey). How can I activate that function?

And when I try to install the update patch (6.0.1 as well as 6.13 or any other), there always pops up the message: the administrator blocks the installation! Same happens on different computers with different operating systems (WIN 7, WIN10).

Thanks again for your help in advance

Bruno

I am the only user on my Win10 computer and I have never had to use the "run as admin" process to install or update anything, so I'm out of ideas
