Lightroom 6 - Install Fails at 99%

I have a Mac and am running El Capitan 10.11.6.  I recently purchased "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 for Mac" (the stand alone program) on Amazon, but I am having trouble installing.  Here are the steps I've followed:

From Amazon.com, I click on "Download," which downloads the Amazon Software Downloader.  I double click on on the Amazon Software Downloader, and then I click "Install."  After that downloads, the icon for Lightroom 6.0 appears on my desktop and a window opens that includes the icons  "Install," "Lightroom 6 ReadMe.pdf," "deploy," "packages," and "payloads."

I click "Install," which opens a window where I can click on "Install, I have purchased..." or "Try...for a limited time...."  I click "Install," which asks me to sign in with my Adobe ID and password.  After signing in, I accept the Adobe Software License Agreement, type in the serial number, click "Install," and then type in my computer's password to allow the download.

Once the progress bar hits 99%, the window "Problem Report for Adobe Application Manager" pops up, saying that the "Adobe Application Manager quite unexpectedly."

Why can't I install Lightroom 6 and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance,

--Ryan

    Hi RyanWI,

It's been a few days since you asked this, so hopefully you worked out the installation issues with Lightroom 6. If not, double check that your computer's permissions are set correctly so the program can read/write to the Application support folder. Step-by-step instructions are provided by a user who experienced a similar issue here: Unable to install LR6 upgrade. Error is Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly.

If you continue to experience issues, please post a reply, and we'll go from there.
