lightroom 6 instead of cc

my older iMac crashed and I bought another one and want to reinstall Lightroom 6, but instead it installs Lightroom cc. How can that be fixed? Thanks

I still have my license code of course but cannot register the installed version since it is cc instead of 6.14

 

it says "please connect to the internet to validate your serial number" but I'm connected...

Legacy Creative Suite & LR6 will never run on Catalina or Big Sur.  Only the latest Creative Cloud products are compatible with Catalina & Big Sur.  Sorry.

 

Legacy CS6 installers are not compatible with Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave without terminal workarounds.

Legacy Creative Suite / LR6 are discontinued & unsupported. Use at your own risk.

I installed it flawlessy on my Macpro late 2018 which had Mojave and on my (not working currently anymore) imac late 2011 High Sierra (installed the software end of 2020 without problems) but now on my new (second hand) Imac 2013 with Mojave, it doesn't...

If this machine previously had Creative Cloud on it, you must wipe all that off first with the Adobe Cleaner Tool below.

NOTE:  You can't migrate programs from old computers to new ones.  You must install them from your original disks or downloads that you received at purchase.

 

If you still can't make it work, maybe you exceeded the activation count limit.  In that case, you must contact Adobe Support and ask the agent to reset your action count.

DO NOT ask for anything other than activation count reset.  They won't assist you.

If the agent can't do it, ask for a supervisor who can.

If your new computer runs Apple's BS or is an M1 processor, your old version may not work

 

But, try this

-the prodesign links go directly to Adobe's file server, so this process will
--only work until Adobe completely removes the old version(s) from the server
.
IF/When you do have a download, be sure to copy it to AT LEAST one external device
-since Adobe does sometimes remove old versions from the server
-a usb flash drive or external hard drive, or write to a DVD
-plus a text file containing your serial number if you have CS6/CS5

Thanks, but I do have the dmg file and run my mac on Mojave. Installing works till it needs to connect to the internet to activate with my serial number and then it says it cannot connect although I'm connected
