Depends on how you're using your current licenses.

    1. Do you have a separate license for each machine?
    2. Do you have 2 licenses spread across 3 machines?
    3. Do you have one license spread across 3 machines?

For each license, Adobe allows you to

    • install Lightroom on as many machines as you like
    • activate on a maximum of 2 machines at the sam time
    • only use one activated instance at a time

If Lightroom is in use on all machines at the same times then, yes, you need to buy one upgrade per machine ($79).

Thanks for the info. I am new to lightroom  and am having problems figuring out things like how to edit skin tones and change blurred backgrounds. I was thinking of purchasing a set of presets but I deal mainly with people of color and most if not all the models I see are white so I don't know what to do I had the Lightroom 4 disk  but the upgrade seems to be just a download??I have 2 machines that I would like to be able to use it on but not at the same time. The $79.00 price sounds a lot better than the $142 for the disk so the download is what I am looking at doing. I just want to be sure I can use it on my other computer and how to go about downloading it on both for the $79.

    Thanks Joseph
