Lightroom CC classic overwrites Lightroom 6 with install

Why did the installer replace my existing LR6 with classic, and add a separate icon for CC?

How do I get the old program back?

    The install removed all older versions LR5 as well. Internet search says there is an "advanced options" during install that could have been unchecked. Why would they delete my old program without informing me? Looks like the only way is to uninstall the new program, reinstall the old program(s), then use advanced options to install LR classic cc again.

    What did you download exactly? Lightroom CC or Lightroom Classic CC?
