Lightroom CC not supported on Mac OS X

I had previously purchased and downloaded the Photography CC package of Lightroom and Photoshop CC. They never were able to install due to my Mac system, which is the outdated Mac OS X Version 10.7.5. I have attempted to update my system, but my Mac won't even update at this point and I'm not sure why. It may just warrant a visit to the Apple store, but does anyone know if it's possible for the CC versions to install with my current Mac system?
