Lightroom changing install location

I bought Lightroom, and it will not install on a Case sensitive volume.  I'm a developer so I need case sensitive, and all of my stuff has been formatted this way.  Every other piece of software works fine on case-sensitive volumes, but apparently this won't even let me install it.  When I double click the installer, it just says "Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported.  Please choose a different volume for installation."

My only option is the "quit" button.  There's no way to select another volume.  I created a 50GB case-insensitive volume on an external hard drive and want to install it there.

This is ridiculous.  Will the software really not run on a case-sensitive volume?  I run MS Office on it with zero problems, as well as a ton of other software.  This is the first time I've ever had something refuse to install on it, and I've been running case-sensitive since OSX came out over 15 years ago.

It won't. As long as there is a single case-sensitive drive, the installer will refuse to proceed. It's not enough to have a single volume formatted differently.

Looks like I'm calling Amex for a refund.
