Never had such a PROBLEM loading software ever.

First get message that computer has a pending restart. Like an idiot I re-started 3 times and then pressed Ignore button.

Then run into “Inconsistency in the installer database. Please restart your computer and install again.

Restarted no help.

Restart again, now Serial Number is invalid.

Restart SN # recognized still "inconsistency".

Discover this product doesn't have phone support.

Search forum...again no help.

Try reaching out via twitter...nothing.

No idea what to expect here, but will give it a try before contacting seller and returning this program and going elsewhere where a customer is actually valued.

Hi Jeff,

Case numbers 0188389915, 0220308782, 0188397027 and 0220334984. In addition issue was escalated to tier two support who have missed two 24 hour and a one business day commitments for help.

Two questions on chats that where ignored are:

What is so different about my PC that disc fails to load?

Maybe we should ignore the disc and attempt to push the download from the web?

I have to say my opinion of Adobe and Adobe support is extremely negative at this point, along with the extreme reluctance of Adobe to provide any voice support or single point of contact to help it's customers.

Anything you can do to help

Regards

Jack

Jack I have asked that a member of our support team contact you as soon as possible.  I do see that case number 188378815 was already escalated.  Currently only your e-mail address is on file so I haver requested that you be contacted via e-mail.

If you would like to be contacted via telephone then I would recommend updating your contact information at http://www.adobe.com/.

I did review the logs that were attached to the case and the only errors I discovered were errors indicating that a valid Internet connection could not be found.  Are you installing on a computer which has Internet access?  Do you utilize a proxy server or software firewall?

Four trouble tickets and two 24hr missed commitments later still have a worthless disc failing to load. Thanks Adobe.

Well...did what was recommended, nothing. Spent another couple of hours with tech support. He ended up making some kind of huge file to send to Second Tier Support and they will contact me, surprisingly that never happened. I'm gearing up for another hours long session, I wonder if they should scrape the whole disk thing and try to download it from the web to see if that would work.

Overall Adobe is the worst experience I've ever had with loading a program as well as the extreme  lengths it takes to avoid actually talking to it's customers.

Is this your first LR install on this computer?

You might try uninstalling everything Adobe, then running the CC Cleaner from Adobe (not the computer-maintenance one) then try reinstalling.

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
